Emergency Response Training Associates, Inc. is an AHA-authorized Clinical Training Center, offering the full spectrum of AHA Basic Life Support Courses.
Our affiliate, EMS Academy, also offers Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses.
We can provide these courses in our training centers, or on-site at your place of business, school, fitness center, etc. for groups of 8 or more students.
We offer AHA Healthcare Provider BLS INITIAL and RENEWAL Certfication courses at our Woburn Training Center (400 W. Cummings Park, Suite 5400)
These classes are intended for:

Medical Technicians Physical Therapists
Radiologic Technicians Occupational Therapists
Day-Care Personnel Lifeguards

BLS Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Renewal Course will be offered on the second MONDAY of each month beginning at 6PM in our Woburn Training Center. The cost is $50. For those taking the didactic portion on-line, a skills testing session will be offered as part of the Renewal Course, at 8PM. The cost is $40 (cost for the didactic portion is $17.50, available through the American Heart Association, or the Channing-Bete Company).

This course includes CPR for Adults, Children and Infants, as well as use of the Bag-Valve Mask Ventilator, and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). It is intended for Nursing, X-ray Technician, Respiratory Therapy and other Healthcare Program students. AHA certification is for a 2 year period. The cost is $85/person, which includes the NEW AHA Textbook and a CPR Barrier Mask. (This course runs approximately 5 hours.)

CANCELLED!!
A BLS INSTRUCTOR Class has been scheduled for August 25th at 9 AM. This is a FULL DAY course, leading to AHA Instructor certification at the BLS level (for EITHER BLS Healthcare Provider or Heartsaver level courses). The requirement for either of these tracks is current certification in any BLS level provider course.
This course will run from 9AM until 5PM, and upon completion, the student will be certified at the BLS Instructor level. Two (2) monitored courses are required before the candidate is able to teach on his/her own.
Cost for this class: $175 + cost of materials (BLS Instructor Toolkit/Heartsaver Instructor Manuals). NOTE: The AHA CORE INSTRUCTOR COURSE must be completed at home/online BEFORE the class. Course DVD is available for $25.

EMS Academy will continue to provide high-quality EMT-Basic training with us in Woburn, as well as continuing its training programs in Marshfield and the south shore. As of January, 2008 EMS Academy will assume responsibility for Eastern Medical Educators' EMT training in Quincy as well. We look forward to working with Lori and her staff of excellent instructors.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT-B): The EMT-Basic course is being offered again in SEPTEMBER, 2008. This is a full course, leading to qualification for the State certification examination. It is offered in conjunction with our new affiliate, EMS Academy, who has merged with Eastern Medical Educators. This class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10 PM, including 3 weekend skill sessions (9AM-4:30PM). The class will begin on September 16th, and end on December 18th.
