Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock. The ASHI Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery systems, and integrating pulse oximetry.
In this course you will learn when someone needs supplementary oxygen, how to safely use oxygen tanks, how to administer oxygen using a number of delivery devices.
The course is approximately two hours long and includes both lecture and hands-on practice. We teach this on-request for groups of four or more.
A current CPR certification is a prerequisite.
